Laura Branfuhr: is the Academy Director and Senior Instructor of Silver Lining Dance Academy. Laura began her dance instruction at the age of two. Throughout her childhood she received instruction from four different area dance schools in addition to private lessons. She has taken classes under dance legends such as Mandy Moore, Bob Rizzo, Napoleon D'umo, David Howard, Finis Jhung, Paula Morgan, Judy Rice, Mike Minery, Gil Stroming, Thom Cobb, Dena Rizzo, Brian McGinness, Denise Wall, Ray Leeper as well as So You Think You Can Dance Finalists; Nick Lazzarini, & Jessica King. The styles of dance she has received training in include Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Hip-hop, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Broadway, Liturgical, Shag and Vintage Jazz. Laura founded Silver Lining Dance Academy in 2002 and has been instructing ever since. She has tested out of Level III Cecchetti Method Ballet. Currently in addition to teaching Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Pointe at our Academy she is also furthering her education each year. Her next goal is becoming certified with Dance Masters of America.
Annie Hucks: is our resident Hip-hop & Contemporary Instructor, but she doesn't stop there. She also teaches some of our Ballet, Tap, & Jazz classes. She has studied in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip-hop, Shag, Rumba, Foxtrot, Waltz, Salsa, Tango, East-Coast Swing, West-Coast Swing, and Cha-Cha. She hopes to design our Hip-Hop crew. Her dance education began at several area schools but she has been at Silver Lining since 2005. Annie was a member of the original Magnificat Dance Team. She has studied under Laura Branfuhr, Greg Russell, Toni Dovolani, Dena Rizzo, Ray Leeper, Sam West, Christopher Robbins, Paula Morgan, Denise Wall, & Twyla Tharp.
Hannah Eells: Is currently a Sophomore at Coastal Carolina University, majoring in Early Childhood Education. Also a Magnificat Dance Team Allumni we were thrilled when she came back to head up our pre-school and early level dance programs. Her heart for little ones is so apparent in all she does. In addition to Laura Branfuhr & Magnificat Alumni Becky Griffith & Callie Melton, she has also taken from Paula Morgan, Twyla Tharp, & Toni Dovolani.
Jarrett Hucks: is responsible for our ballroom division. He is trained in all styles of American Style Smooth and Rhythm dances and Carolina Shag. He trained under Fred Astaire Franchise Dance Studios where he received his Teaching Certification in all styles. Jarrett also has held two titles in the Novice Professional division in Regional Ballroom Competitions. He has had the opportunity to train under many National and World Champion dancers such as: Tony Dovolani, Marylin Benitez, Christopher Busbin, Rozalyn May, and Sam West.
Whitney Neeves: is the Office Manager, Laura's Personal Assistant, and pretty much the glue that holds our studio together. She runs registration, orders costumes, takes care of publicity, and so much more. If there is anything you need she is the one to go to.
